Nancy Holloway holds an MBA with an emphasis in Finance from Virginia Commonwealth University. With a focus on building a stronger, more vibrant end-market within the alpaca industry, she is determined to match animals with the traits to ensure only the finest quality fleece. Rick Holloway enjoys the marketing aspects of the farm. He takes great care to make sure that the right animals are at the right place for the right customer. When not with the alpacas, he is a general contractor overseeing the construction of post-frame barns. Ashleigh Holloway is a business major at the University of Northern Colorado. She is an asset with respect to our careful breeding program as she maintains the database of our animals. She can recall the lineage of each and everyone of our animals. Carly Holloway is a business major at the University of Northern Colorado. She tracks daily the health of our animals, ensuring shots are up to date. She also monitors the quality of the hay and grain, daily consumption, and the weight of our animals; especially our crias.
The Farm
Gentle Spirit Alpaca Farm is known for producing some of the finest animals. Our animals range in color from white to true black with our focus on the quality, fineness and structure of the fleece rather than a specific color. Our breeding program is based on a genetically diverse population of the best bloodlines in North America. Each generation is expected to be an improvement upon the previous, and the proof of our success is in our outstanding crias.

Alpacas produce a lovely fleece that makes up into some of the world's most luxurious garments. With two fleece types, the "Woolly Huacaya" and the "Silky Suri," it is warmer, lighter, softer and more durable than sheep's wool, and is practical and pleasurable to wear. Unlike other alternative livestock, alpacas have a viable end product with a great future. Alpaca fiber is perfectly adapted to the green movement, it is natural, sustainable and renewable.
Our huacaya genetics include PPeruvian Felix, PPeruvian Leon, PPPervian El Moustachio, Hemingway, Drambuie, 4PLegacy, Caligula, Bueno, Royal Inca Legend, Victor just to name a few while our suri line includes Uribe, Bruxo, Accoyo Abe, Fruzane Noir and Graycliff Jax.
Gentle Spirit Alpaca Farm is a mid size, family run operation, which allows for personalized interaction with the animals. As a result our alpacas are gentle and people oriented. The gentle alpaca is fairly new to North America, introduced in 1984, so we are looking forward to embarking on this great adventure together.

Farm Hours
We encourage you to visit our farm and share in the wonder of alpacas. Gentle Spirit Alpaca Farm is open 8:00am to 8:00pm in the summer and 10am to 5pm in the winter. Farm visits are usually by appointment. We look forward to your visit!
